CD shards
"Fish" This Pin is cut from various cds and then sculpturally assembled using bright tarnish resistant silvered wire.
Each cd shard piece is as unique as the random cut, the wire chosen, or the view out my window. $20---$80 Pins, earrings, bracelets, necklaces in 1,3, 5, or multiples.
Tip: Each time plastic is recycled it loses quality. Polycarb is a #7 plastic and not a commonly recycled one. As Dave from Durham Region's Waste Management said it's lowest on the food chain.

tea-shells
She sells tea shells. The leftover, after you burn down the tea candle, is a pliable and pretty material. I used to build similar designs in silver. I love this much more, not just because I feel less cool about mining practices in general, (silver is recyclable too) but I don't clean it repeatedly, it's light to wear, and I can work more efficiently.
Necklaces, earrings, bracelets $20---$80.

Pop Art
Picasso Meets KlimptYears ago, when I was experiencing a "life design change", I decided that bringing beauty into my life in small ordinary ways would take the stress out of trying times. I bought myself an inexpensive but colourful set of dishes. The idea was that even a simple breakfast would uplift my spirit. One morning I was sitting on my porch having a bowl of cereal when the bowl slipped and broke on my concrete step. As I held the dish over the garbage I was struck with a thought "What can I do with that?". I jerked my hand back and sat with my beautiful broken dish a moment. The result was a series of lapel pins I called Picasso Meets Klimpt. "What can I do with that?" has served me well in my life, always helping me create and transform the broken into beautiful.
